Written representation on Church Lane Elvington

I am in support of some form of parking restrictions to ease safety/sight at the bend in Church Lane, Elvington but do not agree with the proposal for double yellow lines, even the primrose narrower ones proposed.

There are several dropped kerbs along the bend which separately serve 1) as access into the churchyard for motorised vehicles in the form of grave digging vehicles, 2) for motorised vehicles for access to the Yorkshire water storage tank and for other vehicles for pathway maintenance and 3) access to two residential properties.  As I stated in my original submission for the Consultation the installation of a single white line would address parking restrictions in the area either side of these drop kerbs and would be more appropriate in a rural conservation area. The use of single white lines has been adopted in other parts of the lane and works well and is respected.   The white line will ensure no inappropriate parking at the bend.

Yours sincerely
